I can't say that I haven't heard that before. You're a very bad influence, you know that?![]()
Didn't know anything about it.. But congrats!I just bought a 2002 CAR Skyline Glaub from GC used. I saw it on the site listed as a Duck Dunn. Hopefully its got no issues or anything. Was this discussed in here? Has anyone interacted with that one?
No, never heard of it. Tell us more.I just bought a 2002 CAR Skyline Glaub from GC used. I saw it on the site listed as a Duck Dunn. Hopefully its got no issues or anything. Was this discussed in here? Has anyone interacted with that one?
But didn't you buy it? Oh, I see, it hasn't arrived yet.I can't decide if it looks like a 1.5" or 1.75" nut width
Exactly! It was a total snap decision thing. Haha. It should be here next week. But didn't you buy it? Oh, I see, it hasn't arrived yet.
It could also be something in the middle. Which one do you prefer?
The LOG Bass sounds so awesome. Can't believe I sold mine. Not an easy arrangement! Pretty good for just a couple of tries. Congrats! Here are a couple of ones I like.
Forgive the mistakes
These are played on my LOG bass....
The first one is an arrangement of Amazing Grace that one of our members (sax and keyboards) did. We only practiced it twice ...considering I thought it turned out good...a bit more practice and I am sure it will get better...Kind of a 80s-90s GRP Jazz vibe:

The second one is Oh Come Oh Come Immanuel with a Dire Straits vibe:

If I can find one that I did on my EUB with minimal mistakes I will post that as well.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to the LOGheads out there!

That's some Jurassic period history there, I wouldn't know. I was brought into this world circa 2010.I was thinking about this just the other day actually. So there were three dudepit special runs right? The first was a Sherwood Green Skyline JO, the second was a white Glaub with darkstar, and the third was a Skyline Decade run that eventually became the stock model. Was there just one LOG bass then? So four forums basses total? Also was that Dudepit Decade made in Korea? I know that all other Skyline Decade's were Indo made AND in fact are the first Indo Skylines but if the Dudepit was around when that started then it had to be Korea right?
Spare, yes. Collecting dust, no.Anyone got a spare 55-64 laying around collecting dust? Will go to a good home!
I can't remember if the Dudepit Decade , DPLE III, was Korean made. I do remember that Steve Barr was taking orders for those Decades in 2007 for a 2008 delivery. I couldn't afford one at the time and ended up saving up for a US Decade which I still own.I was thinking about this just the other day actually. So there were three dudepit special runs right? HaWith all the recent talk of P5's PJ5's and LOG basses it prompted me to go back and revisit a few P equipped 5 string basses I had over the years in this configuration.
First was the intentionally silly 'Old Knobby'. I don't remember the motivation, just that by most standards it was a bit unnecessary, especially for a P bass.
In the original super knobby P form:

Then a bit later into a less knobby PJ:

The second was this purple sparkle beauty that was a LOG bass before the refin. I did not do the refinish, I bought it that way. I remember at the time the seller had both of these for sale. The purple one and the other P only copper metal flake. In hindsight I always regretted not opting for the copper one. That's likely one I'd still have. Not sure where that one is today. My only real memory of the purple one was that it was very heavy. Seems all that additional finish bulked it up pretty good.

And for something a little different, my PJDJ creation. I did a couple of these.
