I have, and this is where I placed it. I have done many singles in that are as well. I always use the standard Gotoh single and double boxes.
It is the Skyline logo, you can see it in the picture. Looks like that gray that came with clear pickguards, he probably switched to a white one.

The backstory per Brian is...we received a batch of necks from our vendor a number of years ago without the usual painted headstocks. Even though they were cosmetically not what we ordered, we hung on to them & used them over the years for situations like this one.
I've been jonesing for a DJ5 for a while but they're all so heavy. This one comes in at 9.1lbs. I tried to resist as I do not need another bass, yet here we are. Lol. Might have to sell off the 55-02 to compensate.

Well, it's not a DJ without the matching headstock. They have the 55-60 for people that don't like matching headstocks.
I thought there were some other more substantial differences between those 2 models. I could be wrong. Either way I'm glad there are different options for different tastes.
There are, I was being cheeky, because the classic DJ look is the matching headstock. I am not a fan of matching headstock in some cases either, I actually own a US DJ that does not have it.
I like painted headstocks but this was hard to resist. While I would have still jumped on a matched headstock if the weight was right, it's rare to find a DJ5 in LPB with a maple neck. These necks are from 2020 based on the serial number.
DJ model is a downsized body and the neck is slightly different than the 55-60. DJ is 21 frets with blocks and binding and the matched headstock. The 55-60 is the same neck as other 55 series models and custom as of late adds the same blocks but no binding. I have a 55-02 and I'd say you'd be hard pressed to notice any difference in the neck carve or radius between the two. The DJ4 is most different being also 21 fret and the 5 bolt neck joint like the 5ers compared to the usual 4 bolt block.
