I still consider myself a Lakland newbie and the complete opposite of a do-it-yourselfer. Had my Glaub for about a year and have not "treated" the neck and fingerboard. It's strung with Labella flats so no string changes. Do you just loosen the strings and treat or does that "hurt" string life? How often should the neck/fingerboard be treated? Thanks . . .
If by "treat" you mean use orange oil or fingerboard oil, you won't hurt the strings by removing them. It will make it easier to clean the neck.
