So stoked on my new (to me) natural USA Glaub with birdseye maple board. Picked it up from a great TB'er (hand delivered at SFO) and it is just plain awesome! It's a bit of a pig in terms of weight (just like my USA JO), but sounds and plays great (just like my USA JO).

I loved my Duck Dunn's and was wondering if the current version (44-64c) has the same finish. IIR the DD's had what looked like a metal fleck in the finish (or that's what I think it looked like).

Mainstream? Maybe, I am seeing them more and more at sites like GC, MF, Amazon and Sweetwater. When I bought my first one five years ago, I had to hunt for it. There is definitely more brand recognition now.
OK...maybe not "mainstream"....but more known....that is why they are being "copied" although very poorly!
I agree, as I said, it's brand recognition, which is a double edged sword. Good for Lakland, but as Lakland owners and buyers we're going to have to become more diligent. Who knows, we might even get our own "Is this a fake" threads here on TB

I just checked out this 1999 4-94 Deluxe local to me. It's in very nice condition, but, even at an extremely fair price, it just didn't ring my bell. I don't know what the ebay reserve is, but for someone looking for this instrument, I know that it could be bought right. Nice seller who takes care of his equipment.
BTW, I have no financial interest in this instrument. If I did not already own a number of US Laklands, I would have bought it!
