Sounds like you have the Neopunch pickups....get a set of the Hanson Vintage P pickups....alot like the Fralins but a smidge better IMHO....and it will fit perfectly!
I have them on my LOG bass and love the sound.

Those pickups are Aguilar DCBs. They have a very authoritative sound, are a great match with this bass and really deliver a raw throaty punch in their current passive setting. I may add a preamp one day...or not.

I don't think so... I think this is a factory re-spray. It is a 2014 and I think two previous owners, @cv115505 & @moorebass, who both listed the bass here on TB. Neither mentioned a refin.

I have US JO5SC#001 (in Ice Blue)...too bad there are no pics on my laptop!

PS - our church and guitarist does alot of business with Sweetwater! you guys rock!

I'm not that hot on the tort pickguard (and if I'm being totally honest, wish it had a maple neck with blocks), but I still love the trans white finish on these LE models.

I have P basses with rounds and flats and they sound very different.

as for the neck...email [email protected] sometimes they have extra necks...he may sell you one!!!

I'll have to do that! And my DJ is all black, except for the hardware. (photo taken before changing the pickguard screws to black).

I bought it new. It has always been black, so if it was refinished it had to be at the factory.
