I'm thinking of changing my 55-02 B string. It's currently a 125, but feels just a little floppy. Considering going to a 130. Anyone have experience with this?

Fodera Nickel medium. I'm thinking of going Medium with Heavy B. Wish I could just buy the b string, and not have to replace the set.
That's a beauty. Love a white HB. I checked it out on Reverb several times. What was the deal with the neck not having a Lakland logo? I know there was a story but can't remember. The price was good too from what I recall. Congrats.
I put D'Addario Chromes on mine with 132, and the regular long scale was not long enough to string through the body with the 35" scale. When I strung it through the rear of the bridge, i had to remove the silk to allow it to fit through the hole. Want's expecting that, but so far no other issues. I don't know if you would have the same issue with 130, stringing through the rear. The 132 sounds great.
I had them on my 55-94 for years and loved them...and then the bug to try something else struck. So I put on a set of Lakland nickels!
I am thinking of putting them back on.

Congrats! Looks like this one is one of the firtst 100 JO made. It seems it used to be active model in past, any other info about the bass? Just curious..
I'm still waiting for Lakland to reply. My guess is it's one of the first few made and they hadn't settled on the logo inlay yet. It's definitely a US neck: quartersawn, BEM fret inlays...we'll see what they say. I did have an issue where one of the magnets on one of the DS's was loose in the cavity, but I've fixed that. It's a tremendous sound.
I own #008 (dumb luck) have no idea of the previous owner as he was deceased and it was found in Canton, OH. Loved the bass the past few years. A friend called me about the listing because we liked the gold, so I called the store. They didn't list the serial number so when I inquired they said to my surprise... Gulp #007 (Goldfinger) owned by Tony Garnier of Bob Dylan. Original endorsing artist. I didn't need it, but I wanted it. Made on the bench at the same time. They would love to meet JO's 1-6
