Artist I play for has her new single out at the moment if you fancy a listen. It's my Lakland 55-01 with US Bartolini dual coils and NTMB pre, strung with La Bella Gold White Nylons:
EP is out on 8th July with three more tracks, two on my US 44-94 P/J, and one on my Bass Collection Jive fretless.

I just bought this from GC. Can anyone tell me from the single pic they provided if it’s an early Skyline with the lindy fralins? I’ll check the serial number and what it says on the back of head stock when it comes in Thursday

Well, can't really say by these photos. The serial number is the best piece of information to know. To distinguish between Lindy Fralins and Lakland PUs (if it is dated around the transitional year), you can check the PU wiring. There is a distinction in the colour of the wires - check relevant posts in TB.
black and white woven cotton-coated wire = fralins
OK I called GC had them read it back to me it says BG02050089. From looking around I think its an 02 which means Lindy Fralins right? It says crafted in Korea
probably, but only way to really find out is ask them to pull the pickguard and send you a pic of the lead wires.

YUP! As long as no one changed the pickup... 2002 was Fralin.
Yes you know I was just about to post a follow up question, I read a couple quotes from people here and in reverb old posts saying candy apple red 2002 was a limited run to less than 50 made? I’m going to call Joe P in Chicago to see if this is true
Unless a previous owner replaced them, it should be Fralins.

I put Sadowsky Nickel Rounds on her just couldn’t do flats this thing really sounds great, i tried her next to a US fender p and it smoked it. It’s definitely a true Old School P bass neck, WIDE! I’ll get used to it. My US 4460 jazz sitting next to it. The Bob Glaub is heavier than I would like, my only criticism of it. I think a custom tort guard in place of the Mint? What do y’all think?

Usually I like tort on red but for some reason I don't think it's going to be a good look with that bright red. The white isn't bad already though. What about white pearloid or black?
