Lakland Owners Group #69

  1. Pretty sure my gold JO5 was the first from the group to make it to Marty (I remember how pissed Dan was when he saw it - because that was the finish AC was looking for on his bass). I miss that bass, too! And I believe you in the 51, wish there was a fiver version out there!

Randy.. Maybe you need A P-51... They currently don't make one but.....:)

See if they will...51 style body.... Single coil....

I want one ( REALLY want one) but can't financially at this point in time...

    You can be the first!

Or a 55-60 would be a great match for your Uber sparkle LOG bass

  4. I actually just pulled the trigger on another LOG bass, lol! Different pickup- my current one has the Neo, and the new one has the Nordy. One of them will probably end up as a P/J sooner than later. Would've loved to get the gold 55-60 back, but pretty sure it made its way to Germany? Can't recall...

I've been having fun trying to put together some better vids than just recording vid/audio with my iphone so I used my DJ 5 for my latest experiment. I put this together pretty quickly somewhere around midnight so if things sound a little off that's my excuse! :D I ended up still using the iphone for video but ran the track and bass into my old Boss BR1600 and then moved everything to my MacBook and edited in imovie. The DJ 5 is always a joy to play!

So, here's my refinished 44-51 Skyline. I'm still not sure if I should put the black pickguard again, make a white one or leave it without a pickguard. I love the grain so much! I also had it contoured, both for making it lighter and also because I like contours.

White PG completes a classic look! Plus covers the existing holes. Nice job with getting the body contours!
