Nice! Speaking of external pre, here’s mine. Great headphone amp for silent practicing, auxiliary in for mixing external source. Compressor is very good one knob type. Drive is there if you want to add some grit but I did not buy it for that. Dig out is very good also.

Awesome!

I can't use mine as a headphone amp.... Wish I could.

Let me know how you like yours!

Nice! So many awesome choices. Which one do gravate towards if you just go on first urge to pick up and play?

It really all depends on my mood....

Sometimes it's all about mwah ....

Sometimes it's all about classic passive sound

Sometimes it's... About the color.

Sometimes it's just ... Hey... That one hasn't had love in a while...

Recently got together with guitar player. Took my bass and my Spectradrive, DI from Spectradrive to the PA, ran EQ on my bass flat. EQ on Spectradrive is very powerful. Different voices from bass can be achieved using Z mode selector in Auder pre that is in my 44-01. Still letting the Genzler cab dust settle, so to speak to see which cab in that line will best work for me and pair with my Mesa D-800+ head..

I get nothing but compliments on the look and tone of my 5502. I’m in love.

I hated that color until I saw the tort...now I want one...

I believe the rule of thumb is "Put a tort guard on it first"

This is my very first indeavor into an external pre.... The selective mids still baffle me.... No clue there...

I use selectable mids for the room more than anything. They take some experimenting to hear.

So my Skyline Bob Glaub just sold.....so guess I better make good and order the 44-64 Classic. Just waiting on how much extra a tort guard is, then we should be good to go.

Si
Wait, you sell a bass BEFORE you buy a new one? Don’t tell my wife that’s an option...:D
