Lakland Owners Group #69

LOL! I agree about the some of the descriptive adjectives on the website. I have talked directly to someone at Nordstrand with specific questions about sonic and physical aspects of certain pups. They are very helpful. The original Big Singles I bought were not the right size. They were too small for my 44-01. P2 is the correct size shell. I bought the pups from a different distributor. I called them to get info about the correct size shell, and they exchanged them NO CHARGE! Talk about customer service.

Hey! Have you guys tried the Lakland LH-3 55-01 pickup upgrade? LH-55? What do you think of them?

I bought a 55-01 a few years back that already had LH3’s along with an Audere pre. I just recently had them swapped out for some Nordstrand Big Singles. To me, the LH3’s were very balanced and had a somewhat “polite” and clear tone (I’m not very good in describing tone). Absolutely dead quiet. I liked them but I wanted a little more variety in my little herd and was wanting a more aggressive sound. I had actually bought the Big Singles used on this forum before I located the 55-01 I wanted, but ended up leaving the LH3’s in for almost three years. I obviously didn’t dislike them at all.
