Well THIS looks interesting! In addition to the 44-94 and 55-94, comments indicate you can get a 34" 5 string (54-94) as well as the option to have the output jack placed on the front. Tempting.

The jack on the front, and/or a 55-94 with flame top, Amber paint, and the small Bartolini MM pickup... that would be tempting to me!

Lakland-ish content: my Carlo should ship early next week!! And, it weighs just under 7.5 pounds! I don’t think I’ve ever picked up a US bass that weighed so little!

I’m very disappointed right now. My new USA 44-64 came in today. I just unboxed it and started checking it out. I just noticed that they left a bridge screw missing. Not only that, but the hole they drilled in the body isn’t perfectly aligned with the mounting hole on the bridge. That means that putting a screw in it would cause the screw to go at a bad angle. This is unacceptable for a $3,400 bass. I just emailed Lakland, asking that they fix it.

Whaaaaaa?!!!! That seems pretty unusual for sure! I'm certain they'll help out here.
Curious though .... is it possible that the screw came loose and fell out somehow? In which case, could the string tension be pulling the bridge forward out of position? Bad either way, for sure, and definitely seems to be out of character based on their standard quality. Here's hoping this is an anomaly and you get it resolved quickly.
I had also requested that the pickup cover not be installed on the bass. I won’t use the cover, and I’d rather not have those two holes drilled in the pickguard. They installed it anyway.

Wow! Sorry that happened to you! That is not the norm at all! I’ve never heard of a US Lakland leaving Chicago like that. I wouldn’t be surprised if the bridge doesn’t match up perfectly with the hole, once strings are removed and the other two screws loosened a turn or so.

I hope you’re right! As far as the pickup cover goes, I’d just be happy with a new pickguard, so the holes aren’t visible.
I’m sure they’d gladly send one.
Let us know about the bridge hole. With current computer-aided build methods, I would think those hole locations would be immune from random human error LOL.
Wow, that is actually quite shocking. That's a lot of time and jingle, to have an obvious QA checkpoint be cleared for shipping. Bummer about the cover holes, too.
