GC is notorious for selling bad instruments. Note the crappy pics and lack of details. I’m sorry to say that I’ve seen more than one 44-94 at the local GC that I was very disappointed with. At least this one is priced super cheap. So, when it arrives with a twisted neck and a dead preamp, it might be worth fixing.
Sorry for sounding negative. I just watch the threads and read about all the GC returns.
I hear you. I've gotten a bunch from GC- some good, some not so good, some I just didn't care for. Zero-hassle 45-day returns and any problem with the instrument they refund the $20 shipping as well. My track record is 2 out of 3 returned; 50-50 for issues/not right for me.
I bet @basspraiser agrees you can find great US Scheffs there.
If I keep this fretless 44-94 it may get Scheffed.
