Lakland Owners Group #69

Sneak peek at a little something from Leo last week...
Proper photos to come when I'm actually home long enough to do it, but first impressions compared to the 44-64 PJ that just left:
This one is 3 pounds heavier, tipping the scales at 12-12.5 lbs. She's a beast.
The playability is the same- superb Plek'd neck, no setup needed out of the box.
The EMGs seem a bit more aggressive? Haven't really gotten to PLAY yet, so unsure.
I'm trying to love the black hardware. Never been a fan, but willing to give it a shot for a while. I know it's blasphemous, but I'm dying to do everything chrome, and throw a white pearl guard on it to match the blocks, lol.
Love the color and the grain. Absolutely beautiful.

Yes! Swap all that black out for chrome and pearl! It will look great!

My GZ is heavy too. But, I think it’s only 10 something, IIRC.

I used not to buy green basses. At one point last week I owned three of them. (now 2, surf green and emerald metallic green).

GMAN...you do live in Cali.... The green party is "in" there...( PS..... Not getting political...ok... Maybe a bit... But it makes sense...:) I'm not saying I do or don't support them... Just commenting.....)

well, current stable includes

Surf Green (G&L Tribute Fallout)
Emerald Metallic Green (Mustang)
Olympic White (Acinonyx)
Pearl White (G&L L2500)
Sunburst (Skyline Hobo)
Natural Satin (Sadowsky Verdine White P/J)
Lake Placid Blue (G&L SB-1)

so I'm still very much into variety
7 basses.... pfft… amateur! ;-D

I kid... I kid. I need help w/ my bass collecting/hoarding, honestly.

How do you like that Acinonyx? I've seen a youtube review on it.

7 is down several from my peak, including selling my DB and EUB.

like the “Cat” bass a lot. The Jonathan Herrera review is good. Ed Friedland just got one and will do a review. You know that will ge a good one.
