Much higher from the Chisonics on mine too compared to the Barts and Lakland pickups. I have all three types in the 55-94 format except the Chisonics are in a J type build.Do the Chi Sonic pickups have a hot output? I bought a 5 string J-Sonic from GC a few months and compared to my other passive basses (Fenders), the output is much higher.
It plays great and sounds great...the only drawback is that it is a little heavy but I can deal with it.

That's killer!
I know many people have asked that question before. I am not sure who makes a black Lakland bridge.
I know there are people here who have done that conversion and they can fill in your details
So after talking to Brian at Lakland it looks like they are going to start to sell the black bridge starting early next year. That’s cool

I replaced my black tree on my Skyline 44-64 GZ. Stock one was too tall and wasn’t creating the right break angle. How about the string tree any idea where to get a black one?

Yeah, I seem to recall being told that the 5-string bass retainer bar was also used on guitars.Brian from Lakland gave me that link and said this is what they use. Directly from Lakland.
