Sounds great. Much more focused than the other pickups. Though in the search for new pickups, I have come to respect the old ones more.

Those basses are so pretty, I'd be afraid to take them to a gig.
They aren't as precious and delicate as you'd think.
Just have to keep an eye on the stage during breaks, and make sure nobody does a grab and run.
The only thing I'm not keen on with those roasted/grained necks is that the Lakland logo kinda gets lost on the headstock....but it's not a massive criticism. More amazing work from the Lakland team

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, as they say! If you have them play them. As JJ said, just keep an eye on them. You bought them for a reason. Hopefully it was not just for looks.
I still won't bring my 55-94 to a gig. It's the one I love to play the most but I play enough questionable places where I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it out.
I've defiled my 55-60 and 55-14 enough (vinyl coverings for "the show") that there's less risk in someone running off with them. (Again, these are just vinyl coverings and can easily come off before you accost me for ruining such fine specimens!
) Why? We're sponsored by Shiner and I like getting free beer (sellout?!) and the name of our fan club is the Sip Sip Squad after one of our bigger songs.
Yeah. My 55-02 has proven to be a great recording bass so It doesn't see the live setting all that often anymore. But it's true what they say; you never forget your first...Lakland.

This LH3-equipped 2014 Skyline 55-02 Deluxe arrived today
2010 Lakland Skyline Hollowbody w/Chi-sonics. Wonderfully well maintained and beautifully constructed. Fun change of pace compared to my Js and Ps. Thanks for looking!
