Looking like an all black 55-02 w/ matching headstock and ebony blocked board...perhaps?? Either way, you'll love the blocked fretboard! My black 44-64 GZ is striking!I wish it was purple.

For rounds, I moved from DR Hi Beams 45-105 to D’addario ProSteel 43-63-85-107 years ago. I prefer the lighter G and heavier E and don’t hear a significant difference.
Flats are a different thing all together’.
I love Lakland's steelies (and nickels too)...but you'd hate them...I'm sure of it...So don't buy them...Because you can't...They're always out...So don't even try...Get what @JEDI BASS said. 
When in the mood for rounds, I used to prefer ProSteels, then played around with NYXLs for a while. Now it's DR Pure Blues. not steel now.
My Lakland Gig Bag arrived today. Hmmm, not sure if its worth $120 compared to a Levy's which is $99 or a Gator Transit which is $130. Both those cases seem to offer more protection and a better value for the price.
Here is my quick review. There is in fact padding at the bottom of the case. Inside the bottom of the case is a padded flap that I had to fold down, so that protects the bottom of the bass and the strap button. The thickness is good. It does not unzip all the way, so you have to slide you bass in. It does have the velcro strap at the headstock to secure it. That's a good thing. However, it has no neck rest. Storage seems to be adequate for some cables and a tuner and a strap. The shoulder straps offer good padding and there are 2 handles to carry it either vertically or horizontally. I do love the Lakland logo and that's the reason I will keep it.
It's a good gig bag, but should be priced lower, compared to what other gig bags in this price range go for. Say around $79.

I bought a set of secondhand 4 string labella low tension flats for a P bass build I’m waiting for (getting up to a year now :s)
My 55-94 (bartolini pups and John east Uni pre) currently has Lakland nickels on coming up to needing a replacement- For a laugh I slipped the G sting off and put the LTF string on- what a difference! It seemed way louder, really punchy really fat mids, the difference between the pickups was more audible it was great!!
Now I’m not sure I’m ready to stick a whole set of flats on it- that’s a bit of a jump but a) I sure am tempted and b) even if I don’t I need to change strings
(for reference my faves down the years have been DR Fatbeams, Newtone round core steels and recently Sadowsky blue label steels )

What are they even using for gig bags these days? I still have an old Lakland branded Under Cover bag, not the most protective bag in the world but nice for just throwing the bass across the backseat of the car.
You really can't beat those old bags for lightness and portability. I wish they still made them. I have a really nice Incase bag that's great for long hauls, but if I'm just doing my own schlep to a casual, the Red Cordura Lakland bag is ideal for me.
I use the originals: Rotosound swing bass 66. Very bright, very zingy, but bed in well and sound great for a good length of time. The ones on my DJ are now nearly a year old and still sound good. I'll be putting a new set on soon, but I want to put ernie ball cobalt flats on my fretless and they're currently out of stock, so I'm waiting before I order both together.

My go to SS strings, Dunlop Super Bright Marcus Miller set. Love them. replaced my older favorite DR SS Low Riders.
When talk set of strings we should include gauges
I was using DR Hibeams 40-100 but recently upped to Hibeams 45-105.
My 44-94 plays and sounds so much better IMO.
I want to try those Marcus Miller Strings. They have good reviews.

They are on my shortlist. I love DR Fat-beams - and I know they aren't similar even with the MM connection, but over here in the UK they are WAY cheaper!When talk set of strings we should include gauges

EBMM Cobalt Flats = THE ONLY FLAT for bright roundwound lovers!!
The 4 string EBMM Cobalt Flats sets have went up in price dramatically in the last 6 months or so, probably because of all the raving that some of us have been doing here on TB. I was paying around $28 shipped for both the 40-95 and 45-100 sets, on Ebay. I just bought another set 2 days ago, after the seller gave me a 5% discount, and w/ tax I paid $40. I can no longer say how much of a steal they are :-( but, they're still worth the new higher price.
