I know some people have used an Audere pre in the DJ as well with good success. I have an Audere in my 44-01 and a East MM pre in my Ray, both high quality pres.Sure! That's the "default" pre for the DJ.![]()

I heard from the seller. He had a 55-02 for sale as well and those are the specs for that one. He just copied and pasted it for the 44-02.
Its not common for a Skyline to be that light but its not impossible and I have seen other listings of ones that were around that weight. The scale and radius are just incorrect specs.
He updated the posting to reflect the true specs of a 44-02. Very different from a 55-02.Also, Skyline 55-02 has CF in the neck, 44-02 does not. Early -02's had US pickups and electronics, so maybe true, but I doubt the whole spec listing is "true".

Oh wow!!! What a finish! Is that green on the backside with a black stripe? Gorgeous!I had a beautiful DJ4 that my ear just wouldn't bond with due to the baked in scooped sound. To try and counter, I went the route of installing an Audere 4 band which helped fatten the tone but not enough. Even threw in my favorite set of pickups but ended up sending it down the road.
But boy was she a looker...

I'm just curious what their set list is.![]()
That is beautiful, unique, definitely not run of the mill! Surprising pup change did not give you the tone you were after. Now there are so many pups to choose from.I had a beautiful DJ4 that my ear just wouldn't bond with due to the baked in scooped sound. That’s what was so frustrating about owning it. I chalked it up (likely erroneously) to the body size not having enough meat to get the mid punch and growl I prefer. That is beautiful, unique, definitely not run of the mill! Haha, now I just need to decide if I want a 44-02. Already have a DJ-4 and love it.
It was a Marty Bell special; seafoam "bound" body with silver pinstriping over a translucent white finish.

It was a beautiful looking bass that I think about often but unfortunately played rarely. The guy I sold it to ended up selling it and I came across it again on Reverb about a year later and almost bought it back.

Question... Do you play bass on Separate Ways? I hear it's all keys but I think there's a great bass part in there!

Instruments unplugged, but bass player present and acting like he's in the mix. Hard to get past the haircuts...reminds me of one I had back then.
