Is the Cherryburst the most popular color for the 44/55-94/02? There sure seems to be a lot of them for sale.
Cherry burst is more than plentiful, tons available. Not my cup of tea as far as a body finish color. I’m getting closer to pulling the trigger but have to be patient till the time is just right! No GAS IMPULSIVE buys for me. I know what I want and am willing to wait till then.
I had one of the earliest ones...#19? 21?
Anyway, it was an amber burst with a birdseye maple board and 1.5 nut. I wonder where it is now? Anyone? Buehler?
Also, I need a knob!! One of the early big rubber ones. I called Lakland Friday. They didn't know is it was way before their time, and I lost Dan's digits a while back. Anyone have a lead?

Sorry, those are not available anymore. JP told me they used to buy those in bulk and the supplier simply disappeared about 10 years ago. So they had to switch the knobs to a different model. You'll have to find someone that doesn't want theirs anymore.

No, I already have a 55-02, Doug's message was for someone else here, I remembered the conversation.
Hey everybody. I'm finding that I'm having to tighten my 44-01 truss-rod daily and I'm worried that at some point I'll run out of tightening room. I'm wondering if anything can be done...? It's from 2016 so I'm guessing this isn't happening because of 'young' wood. Anyone have any thoughts?
I wasn't sold on it either, but I decided to get it anyway (limited number of used 55-02s available over here).
However, I have to say that after adding a pickguard it's really grown on me a lot.
That’s totally not normal! Normal would be maybe a quarter turn one way when a season changes, and a quarter back the other way when the season changes again. You need a pro to evaluate that truss rod. It may be snapped, and catches enough to straighten the neck when you crank it, only to slip later and need tightened again the next day. That’s what my broken truss rod did.
Here's a reminder that George Porter Jr totally used a Skyline Glaub while touring in place of his vintage Precision.
Have you seen one in person? No pics ever do it justice. I never cared for it until I saw it at a store. It was my first 5-string Lakland.
I agree. It also depends on who sprayed the burst and what day! Sometimes it is a very mature subtle amount of yellow, and other times it looks very vivid and a narrow band of cherry (which I prefer).
In person, it looks fantastic! Pics really don't give it its due! Mine is rich, deep...just gorgeous over flame ot quilt. Add a birdseye board and a plexi/see-through guard and POW! The Hotness.
