Lakland Owners Group #69

Nice rig! I have the same Mesa head. Very versatile. I’m using Empress Bass compressor. Agree really is secret sauce if used correctly. That rig with your bass I’m sure is really good. I run my head flat, then EQ from my bass which usually doesn’t need much from center detent. I have a different pre though. John East Unipre. Enjoy that rig!

I run the bass flat and only really pan the pickups or switch coils for different sounds. As far as the amp goes, it sounds good flat but I think with all those knobs it just seems a little criminal not to twist them a little lol

Took the J-sonic fretless out for test last night.

This is how I run my my 44-02 as well. I rarely touch the preamp and simply adjust by pickup blend and coil switch. So versatile just that way already without adjusting treble, mid, and bass.

Anyone know the correct size Allen wrench for a Lakland skyline 4464 LE? Was trying to use a few of the Allen wrenches I have but the truss rod is not turning at all and it seems as though it’s on the verge of slightly stripping the wrench and nut.

Every Skyline I gave ever owned was a 4mm. Is it possible that it's never been turned previously? Sometimes for that first time it will crack free.I might be inclined to remove the neck to get a clear look and straight on access if that is giving you trouble, and help find the best fitting wrench.
