Back on topic, wonder if I could get an gold anodized (metal) pickguard for the burst BG5 w/ maple fb? Otherwise, the new colors don't interest me . Silver looks good on the jazz, the green is cool on Decades.

What a difference the name on the headstock makes. If this were a Fender thread, it would be overrun with complaints about a price increase...kinda like the new anniversary Jazz thread.

Inca silver is cool (I've got an inca silve Jazz V), and I like matching headstocks, but I'm not sure I like that in this case. Generally, I don't like matching headstocks with light colors.

When I mentioned the price increase I was not aware of the matching headstock. I believe the prices listed are for the special run colors only so the price bump is for the matching headstock option. Normal models are probably staying the same price as last year.

I've been wanting to try a Lakland for some time now, and was thinking I'd hold out for a US made bass, but these Skylines look fantastic -- they couldn't be that much less in quality!
