I don't like when people makes a big deal about my spelling or punctuation, there is constructive criticism, and there is the get it right fool comment/criticism.

I would only send a PM to someone who misspelled something in a classified title section since it impacts a potential buyers search.
Of the forums that I'm a member of, TB is like an oasis. The issues seem minor in comparison to other forums where people will challenge you to a duel or question your ability to function based on your preferences.

Edit: This forum is ridiculously awesome. Any faults are tiny little things. The mods and admins do a fantastic job of keeping it "clean" around here.

It is a really good forum; well-moderated. I like the apolitcal aspect of TB. In the days of massive incivility and hate, it is a place where I can take off my shoes, read, learn, joke and share things on a subject that I really like. Covid-time is so confining. I got rid of my Facebook account because I started to dislike real friends. Not why I signed up for sure.

I did the same thing for the same reason. it's nice to scan the forum lists and decide what I am going to read about without getting all riled up.
This was kind of my gut-reaction answer. But I’ve realized buying into the GAS culture is my own dang fault!

The search function is honestly terrible and doesn’t get you what you asked for. And all the people who say “use the search function” when someone asks a question, I hate that.

I'm definitely with all of you here who feel this sentiment. It's like, it doesn't matter who or what you are in terms of ethnicity, creed, belief system or whatever else, we here are all simply bassists. I love that. I recently saw someone here saying that there are people they talk to on TalkBass that they probably wouldn't necessarily approach in real life due to whatever. And at the end of the day, we as people have more in common than not. We're all just people trying to do the best we can in a crazy, everchanging world.
But here... we can all just play bass, talk bass, and complain that this forum gives us GAS that gets us in trouble with our wives, mothers, girlfriends, and whomever else, ha ha!
Who ever thought we bassists would be the sorta kinda troublemakers, eh?
