Lets Buy A Wish Part II

LajoieT said:
Absolutely, In fact, maybe if others want to buy their $10 share in they could get it to you to offset your "enhanced" fincancial stake.

I'm also fine with this since bassics really went above and beyond to rescue the Wish from it's mire.

Ok so jacking the list from a few pages back, I see this:

1. The_Ryst, NC
2. DannyB, NC
3. Maverick Blues, VA

The Ryst currently has the bass so he can be crossed off. DannyB if you're out there and still want in on this you should sound off. I guess anyone who wants in on this send me your contact info, (Name, address and phone number) and I'll get a list going. In the meanwhile we should figure out what money should be sent and where. Where's Coffee_Sipper when you need him?

Edit: Ok looks like Coffee hasn't been on the forum since November so we probably shouldn't wait around for him to tell us what to do. I'll see about emailing Wishy and seeing if the TB bass is paid for, then maybe the rest of the overhead should to Bassics and TB.

i still couldn't imagine wish letting his bass go without full payment, but you never know!

I participated in the first go-round of this, eh, "instrument"... Coffee-sipper paid for it in full. I can dig up his phone number if anyone wants to talk to him and make sure that he's OK with a second circulation of the bass. I really don't recall what the plans were for the bass when it was finished being sent around.

Could you give him a call for us? That'd be hip. I'd much rather do this with his blessing. If he has any questions about what we're planing on doing he can come back and read the thread or I can give you my email address and I can talk to him directly.

I have FINALLY read this whole thread, and I must say, I;m glad I had the week off! Above all I'd like to say that I'm VERY proud of all involved! if this bass makes another round, I'm in canada, and am willing to pay tax and whatnot, to get my hands on this thing for a few days! ITS FAMOUS NOW !!!
again....kudos folks,.......kudos.

I just wish (no pun intended) one of the early suggestions had been followed through on. It would be so cool if the bass had signatures from all the people who had tried it. :)

'rick

I agree, I was somewhere in the range of #10 on the list and nobody had signed it. I didin't feel like breaking with tradition at that point, so I didn't either, but it would have been cool.

The Pimp-My-Wish Foundation was another great idea that never got off the ground, but then, I'd also like to start a collection of polished turds.

actually, while coffee purchased the wish, i think it was paid for by the members of the original group (including myself). as part "owner" of the wish, i wouldnt mind seeing as many ppl getting to play it as possible. i say let it make a few more rounds thru north america...then off on a world tour. heck, maybe we can even get it up into space.

bassics, you seem to have been the most involved so far (i skipped about 10 pages of this thread, so i apologize if i am mis-stepping here). if you are willing to over see the travels of the bass, then i am behind that.

and, for those who have it, just start signing the dang thing with your city and state. keep it small, though, so that everyone will fit. whoever has it now, just annotate it for me (pierce, san francisco, ca).
