DON'T TURN THE 3rd KNOB on the giant knob with four knobs!!! It causes the reactor to melt down.
Also, the 3rd knob depends on the orientation of the giant knob. It's mostly explained in the 2000 page manual.

The G&L L2000 and M2000 models really lends itself to a third pickup and G&L sells the MFD pickups for about $100. Really should be a factory option on US models.

I will say that I had no business posting here as I do not own a bass with 3 pickups. That being said, I was about 14 beers deep and bored. I retract my post and say you guys should rock those 3 pickup basses with pride!
For the record I also have two PJs and a P, and I rarely use the Js at all. That might change if I wire the two PJs for stereo output... Very few people NEEEEEEED more than one pickup, but (speaking strictly for myself) I see this as a thread for obsessives. If it isn't, that's still why I'm here. I just want to believe other people are as sick as me! They probably aren't.
I've recorded in stereo with separate signal chains for the neck & bridge pickups, I could see running a stereo rig but it would have to be pretty light!
The Concentric knobs control the standard position pickups (bridge and middle) and the two extra knobs are V and T for neck pickup
The Musicman (USA) Sterling is 3 pickups. Humbucker (2 single coils) and there is a "dummy coil" on the bottom.
When will someone just make a bass with one giant magnet that covers from bridge to neck?
