Agreed. 70’s television had the best music in my opinion. They had masters like Chuck Rainey laying down the groove. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Wow, #112 - we're neighbors! Here's #110, blueburst:

And it's in between a Coral, which Philip told me was 1 of only "about 20", and a red fretless, which someone else told me was 1 of about 50.

As an L5000 it is one of approximately 400. In Lake Placid Blue it is significantly rarer (only one registered on G&L registry and as a later build likely only one made in this color).

There aren’t a huge number of Dingwall D-Birds, due to Gibson objecting to the body shape.

It’s out for a minor repair at the moment, plus getting a refinish, after which it won’t be factory, but will be unique.

That's a beautiful bass. Be sure to post again after the refinish is done. I can understand why Gibson would object to the blatant ripoff of the body shape though. At least the D-Roc looks a bit different and ergonomical compared to a Thunderbird. I don't understand why they didn't go with that design first instead of stealing a Gibson design.

Every year Warwick chooses a specific model to really show out and make a limited run of 100. 2014 they did the Fortress. I swapped the frosted chrome hardware for gold.

USATK5 w/Tension Free PBC Neck. Only about 200 of these were ever made. They were built by Dave Bunker @ PBC Guitars in Pa. This is a rare US built Ibanez. The flame on the fretboard is gorgeous. This also has a weird quirk that is jokingly referred to as the factory "mood ring" finish. The blue seems to get progressively lighter in spots, over time. Mine has some of this going on down by the controls. Bottom row, 3rd from right....

I think my Ibanez USATK with the brass nut is kind of rare. I dunno, you tell me. This is the second bass I ever bought. I purchased it used around '96. The store owner had it on display in the window, so the blue finish faded to this greenish color. It was my gigging bass for more than a decade, so it has some well loved character.

New Euro LX5, got it it for my 60th this past Dec. Sienna Burst matte finish. Aquilar p'ups and pre. Flamed maple top. Roasted maple neck & fretboard. This one came from Bass Central, they have others.
