Let's spread some musical misinformation

To save our planet, Ibanez has decided to build the next generation of SoundGear basses from recycable plastic.
It concerns so-called toneplastic that can be found in several industrial jungles in China.
Hmm ... that inevitably leads to the question "Which plastic is best for metal?"

(Sorry, I realize that was not misinformation).

In space nobody can hear you shred--but they can hear you play slap bass.
Slappa da Space mon!

I'm spreading misinformation to the world beyond Talkbass. It's basically like the stuff I posted in this thread, but on top of pretty pictures. Musical Misinformation | Facebook if you want to help spread misinformation far and wide.

Here's the classic that started it all.

Well of Chorus the Egyptians invented it, but it wasn't after some gawd. It came from the builders of the pyramids who would sing while they worked, but by the end of the day they'd all be too horus to sing properly yet they'd still warble on. If you don't believe me, you're in de Nile.

That was the first Egyptian arena........first group to play there was The Rolling Stones....
Little known fact, but the first song they played was "Walk Like An Egyptian", this is where the Bangles stole the song from, not to mention getting their band name from Keith Richards wrist Bangles, which they also stole. This Bangles thievery is also the derivation of the phrase 'E gyped Yah!

Keith Richards was inspired to write it an Egyptian chef at a Chinese restaurant, who was said to be the greatest stir-fryer in all of London in the early 1960s. Even native Chinese chefs were flattered if they were told they "wok like an Egyptian". Mick Jagger wasn't into Chinese food so he thought "wok" was a misspelling, changed it to "walk", and the rest is history.

Finishing school?! Finishing school is for girls!

One may not need to take one's clothes off to sand a bass, but one'll breath much easier... Just like the bass.

If you're not sure what kind of sand paper to use for sanding your bass, there's an instructional video for it called:

In 1984, Steve Jobs tried to buy every Fender bass that was made in Japan. He is rumored to have successfully acquired 93% of all MIJ basses manufactured between 1984 and whenever they stopped putting the serial numbers on the headstock. They are buried in a landfill in Arizona with about 37 million Atari games

Because the vast majority of these instruments were destroyed, MIJ Fenders from this era command more money than even the most coveted vintage Fenders made in the USA.
