Just be careful not to use instrument cables on your singer. Since they don't play an instrument and typically stick to vocals you'll need to use Speaker cables for your singers nostrils. Preferably speaker cables with Speakon Neutrik ends so they don't accidentally fall out. The first time you use them on your singer you may find it a tight fit, but once they're in just give them a quick twist and they'll lock in place.
The only time you should ever plug instrument cables into your singer is if they are having a hard time singing a cappella and need some in ear monitoring to keep them on key and in time. In which case, simply plug the instrument cable coming from your bass into the singers left ear (controls the right half of brain) and the guitards instrument cable into the singers right ear (controls left half of the brain). Now as both the bass and guitar play, the only one that can hear them is the singer who will find it much easier to stay on key and in time.
Note: It's important not to reverse the left right ear connections! Everybody knows the bass player is always in their right mind and guitar players never are! If you were to reverse connections so the guitar is playing into the right side of the singers brain you'll quickly and permanently convert the singer to the same self absorbed, arrogant, glory hog prima-donna that most guitar players are. Chances are, if you've ever run across a singer like this its because somebody connected the in ear cables wrong.
