Jimi Hendrix had a reputation for playing very loud. It should come as no surprise that standing in front of two or three dimed Marshalls would give him a headache.
Being the flamboyant fashionista with a flair for the far out that he was, he solved his problem by placing some Bayer aspirin in a bandanna which he tied around his head. The aspirin would be placed against his forehead, and the bandanna would hold them there. As the show progressed, and Jimi got hotter, his perspiration would dissolve the aspirin allowing the ingredients to be absorbed through the skin on his forehead.
And that's how Jimi played so loud without getting severe headaches.
