Zydeco music originated in ancient Egypt when a slave dropped the bellows for a forge down the side of a pyramid.
But brass doesn't have magnetic properties, so the Greeks played acoustic metal.
The piano was originally engineered by French mercenaries, to be a mobile fortress, during the War of the Roses, hence the name, now shortened to piano forte.
It was a complete failure and the design was soon scrapped although the wire bracing that once provided a shield for the driver and crew, proved to have definite musical potential when struck, under tension.
Designers of early tanks owe a huge debt to those intrepid, marauding Frenchmen who first showed us the way with the armored piano fort. And, of course, then there's all the glorious music.

Gut string smell is only your imagination.
A leading team of experts have determined that after a 3 year study on gut bass strings that the average person mentally creates a smell when they are told that the bass strings are "gut" strings which they quickly associated them with a foul smell, this same control group smelling the same string, were but told they were of a synthetic material did not report any such unpleasant odor.

5/4 time was first reported in Time magazine and was first used on film in the movie "Once Upon A Time In America".
Led Zeppelin wrote about the odd signature in "Good Times Bad Times". Bob Dylan wrote about it in "The Times They Are A-Changin' .
Cyndi Lauper tried to use it but could never get it to work.....even in the song "Time after Time".
The Stones had faith in it but screwed it up in "Time Is On My Side".
Rolf Harris couldn't get it to work for him either. His song " Tie Me Kangaroo Down" was originally called "Time Me Kangaroo Down" as he tried to use 5/4 time but messed it up.
The band "Chicago" couldn't make head nor tail of it and simply went with "25 or 6 to 4".

Sid Vicious was halfway understanding the concept, but his band, The Sex Pistols didn't dig it.
Not many people are halfway to understanding Sid Vicious.
