Those 70's studio guys were wizards. They had samples of every instrument in every register. If required they replaced a lousy player's track note by note. All those notes had to be taped by hand onto the 72 track studio tape. Those guys were Sid Vicious' heros. 
Before digital delay (let alone before digital delay was affordable) delay was done in studio by placing the microphone a very long distance from the speaker cabinet. In those days, delay was a linear measurement. There were cases of delay being a mile or more requiring the use of very sensitive microphones. later, analog delay was accomplished with tape. The recording was wound around galvanized steel buckets to introduce delay, hence the name of the integrated circuit bucket brigade delay.
Yellow 'colour' songs chart much higher than any other colour. Green charts lowest. Interestingly, pink, not black, is the best colour for metal although it is usually called light red by metal bands.
In a rare 'win' for the manufacturing department, Fender's budget line was called Squier over the objections of marketing that wanted to call it Squiest.
Many think the so called zero fret was invented by Sandberg for better intonation. It was not! It was a solution to their slightly too long necks.
Hofner "Beatles" basses are of course the easiest basses to intonate, due to their amazingly stable bridge design.
They were made from left over parts of VolksWagen Beetle cars. This was in honour of the original American bass, which was of course made from recycled Cadillac Fenders.
That is where the name Fender came from. Leo's last name was Bassie until he made his first bass (see above). He thought Bassie bass would never sell.
I believe he came from nobility, but dropped the honorific so as not to be confused with the other Count Bassie.
