The Romans invented electric stringed instruments. Unfortunately they couldn't be played, because the outlets to power them weren't invented yet.
EQs were developed to cut mids, as mids are typically the cause of bad tone
I thought they were there to let the user know if their amp was happy or sad.
-If you play hard rock/metal/punk, it is required that you always play with a pick, and the bass MUST be slung to knee level.
-"Growl" is an under-used and very technical term.
-Band members and the audience love and expect noodling between every song.
-Don't do soundchecks, or get to know your pedals or amp well;
band members and audiences love and expect you to spend lots of time crouched over gear playing with knobs, rather than
playing music.
-If it's time for another band member's solo, that's the time to
abandon the groove and do your own thing.
-Change strings at least twice as often as a guitarist does; bass strings are much flimsier, and go dead much faster.

Fender made the 9.5 radius and 1.62 nut the norm on Precisions because they realized they would be catering to a generation of limp wristed fairies that couldn't wrap their hand around a hammer grip.

Stax, Motown, Nashville and other big name studios keep their own special bass and amp for musicians to use on recordings. That's how they get that consistent signature tone. It's also the reason Jamerson's bass is missing. It was never his. It was part of the studio sound.
I'd almost believe that one, except for the Jamerson's bass bit. The rest actually sounds plausible...kinda.
Not many people know that Earth, Wind & Fire's "Weekend" is a cover of a country song. The lyrics originally were "I wanna have a home and not a barn" but they changed "barn" to "bar" to appeal to big city audiences.
Auto-tune mechanisms on stringed instruments are based on air pressure measurement, just like barometers.
