At first I thought you meant in heaven, so I had to check and Carol Kaye isn't dead yet. Or maybe they would both be in hell together. Or maybe purgatory is endlessly rerecording Motown hits..
"Into the groove" is an expression first coined by a mixing engineer at Polydor studios. If all tracks were leveled, eq'd and sync'd, they were ready to be recorded on a master record. He then used to say: "They're going into the groove".

Serious bass manufacturers always enclose a Mollier diagram with their instruments. The environmental conditions should unconditionally meet the area within the red lines, or warranty will be void.
Such diagrams, if done as a plot of key against time signature, can be used variously to determine if your practice regimen is challenging you, or if that prog rock band is just a bit beyond you. It's Robert Fripp's aim to explore all parts of said diagram, like a crazed Ahab captaining his musical ship with first mate Tony Levin.
