Let's spread some musical misinformation

Bass manufacturers are scrambling to be the first to develop SLF technology. The "Smart Lighted Fingerboard" works like this: your bass has a USB connector so that you can plug it into a PC, Smartphone, etc. The smart device will recognize the song that you are playing, the key, the tempo, etc. and will light a fingerboard LED by the correct fret under the correct string as the song progresses. You'll never have to read or learn a song again - just play by following the lights. It will be kind of like playing Whack-A-Mole.

You shouldn't have posted it here. You should have patented it.

Jason Newsteds bass lines on And Justice For All are inaudible due to the fact he was experimenting with string dampening techniques and used foam under the strings at the bridge. He was feverishly into Motown and tried desperately to guide Metallica in that direction and the band almost bought into it except Lars couldnt play with a single bass kick and brushes. Band was rumoured to change there name to Motownica with the new direction.

This actually sounds true because a lot of acts who are into Motown tried to change their iconic sound and pay tribute.

Phil Anselmo is a huge Levi Stubbs fan and during the Cowboys From Hell tour, he was known for donning blackface and doing one off gigs where he would perform nothing but Four Tops songs under the moniker Vulgar Display of Motown with a backing band put together from City Paper classified ads.

This was before smartphones and social media and even though blackface was still an awful thing, our social awareness was such that Phil was not lambasted for this move and he was not told to put an end to it.

Drunkenly he imagined plans for the entire band of Pantera to don large trash bags with comically huge sunglasses because he had visions of them doing what he slurred as, "a you know California Raisins thing" but thankfully Rex Brown cast the one nay vote which kept this from unanimously becoming a very bad decision.

Levi Stubbs would soon hear of Phil's obsession with him and the two did meet and even recorded a spirited take on "Bernadette" which has yet to see the light of day because Vinnie Paul holds the rights to it.

Fantastic insight on Newsted because I had heard whispers of this before but it seemed too ridiculous to be true but now makes perfect sense.
