No,no,No! Bonobos are a primate species akin to chimpanzees. They are known for playing Fender P basses no newer than "74".
Fender is working on a bass that will neither be fretted nor fretless. The all new N-Bass will be neckless, thus solving all tuning and intonation problems, as well as making it much easier to restring.
They were going to name it the "Zero" but that name was already taken by Hershey, who makes the Zero candy bar. So, that idea was shot down, much like a lot of Japanese Zero airplanes during WWII.

He later became quite successful however as a pioneer in the development of light beer.
