I was going to go with "Small McCartney."Hey, is that Pawl McArfney?
Another little-known fact: once he had hs sound dialed in, he removed all the knobs so nobody could change any of it.There's been a lot of speculation about which amps James Jamerson used with his P Bass on recordings, but the truth is he ALWAYS used a Japanese short scale and a little Whirlpool combo for studio sessions.

Those Rush laundry machines weren't just props. Every T-shirt sold at Rush concerts was freshly laundered.Rush bought all those Whirlpools later for their back line, along with the rotisserie chicken machines he used to get the grease to deaden his strings with. It was great through, as he could do a session and get the chicken grease out of his clothes at the same time.
That whole chicken grease thing with Jamerson was a myth. He liked rusty strings and that would never happen with grease. There's been a lot of speculation about which amps James Jamerson used with his P Bass on recordings, but the truth is he ALWAYS used a Japanese short scale and a little Whirlpool combo for studio sessions.

It is a universal truth that the best drummers have a gong.
Although many drummers still admire Neil Peart, it is widely acknowledged that his drumming started deteriorating after he removed the gong from his kit. If Ringo had a gong, no one would have complained about the Beatles' drummer.
And Rush wrote "Different Strings" after a newbie tech strung up one of Alex's guitars backwards.![]()
Rap is metal played backwards.

After his musical career, he went on to be a successful paleontologist.Marc Bolan very much knew this.
