Let's spread some musical misinformation

Sorry. Finnish accent. Or is it Uzbecki?
I used to speak Finnish and with an accent, too, until an unfortunate injury during a hockey game. I had temporary amnesia (or memoir Tampere as they used to call it) and when I recovered had to learn how to speak it all over again. That's called a reFinn. Lowers the value of language skills considerably. Everybody prefers original to even the best reFinn.

no one knows why the fish BASS and the instrument BASS are spelled the same but some fish can play the bass but few basses play with fish ...

Could it be that Pete Trewavas was the prime mover in replacing him with Steve Hogarth as lead vocalist in Marillion?
Although the pressure of constant touring was offishally (see what I did there?) the reason given for the split, Trewavas was heard to mutter afterwards that at least the tour bus no longer stank of Fish.

Or maybe it was just that he had trodden on the bassist's toes and taken on his raison d'etre in the band. It was Fish who Fired The Drummer, even going so far as to publicly blame his lousy time keeping.

However, there is always an exception to the rule: one Mike Gordon rose from the primordial ooze of the lower marshes to bass play with PHiSH.

Ophishally recorded documented proof... several albuminations

The song "Vehicle" by The Ides Of March was a desperate attempt by the record label to release the song before original version by The Brides Of March hit the airwaves. They didn't want to have anything to do with the original all star BOM lineup and got Jim Peterick and some other studio musicians to record it first. The song itself is creepy enough, but reading the credits while the song is on is... well, let's just say that in 1970 it was not a great marketing idea. From a bootleg live at San Quentin LP (1971) the original BOM line up was:

Jerry Lee Lewis - Piano, Vocals
Papa John Phillips - Guitar, Vocals
Peter Yarrow - Guitar, Vocals
Richard Finch - Bass
Jim Gordon - Drums
Michael Jackson, R. Kelly, Rick James - Background Vocals
Produced by Phil Spector
