I don't think anyone can tell if someone has practiced the bagpipes or not. In that respect it is like the kazoo, jaw's harp and viola.

The problem is, as Geddy Lee demonstrated, no matter what they appear to use live, in the studio all bassists are required to use an old Jazz Bass, although they are allowed to pull the frets out for fretless bass sounds. No five string or six string basses are allowed in studios - it's all done with the Digitech Whammy. It's a lie that the Precision is the bass of choice in the studio, put about by producers to ensure that they are the only ones that can put out hit records and that those recording at home don't have a chance as a Precision will never sit well in a mix.

Active basses are just a scam by the 9V Battery Marketing Board to sell batteries. The batteries are just connected across a resistor to gradually drain them. They are actually passive basses and the preamps are dummy circuits promoted by the OpAmp Marketing Board to sell operational amplifiers that failed quality control. It's all part of the Stonecutters plot to sell more electronic components, the Stonecutters being a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Illuminati.
