Actually the best way to cure neck dive is to take the truss rod out of the neck completely, which makes the neck lighter. This also gives a nice elegant curve to the neck.The best way to prevent neck dive on a thunderbird is to screw the strap button into the back of the neck at the 12th fret. This should be a self tapping screw long enough to bite into the truss rod which will improve tuning stability
