Let's spread some musical misinformation

Similarly, "The Wall" was almost changed to "The Mall", an epic song cycle about alienation and disillusionment among teenage girls at a mall in Des Moines. That time, Roger resisted the record company's demands for something more commercial.
Steely Dan had encouraged the initial concept but the dark sarcasm in the room became unbearable even for Roger.

Pink Floyds 'Wish you were here' was originally going to be called 'Wish I had Beer'.
Roger Waters was writing the song one summer night and went to the fridge only to find he had no brown ale left.
He was persuaded to change the lyrics by the record company

Shine on You Crazy Diamond is about when he had Diamond White cider in his fridge. The shining part is about how the fridge light illuminated the bottles.

Lacking a safe he used to hide his cash in the cripser draw which led to another song.

Ummagumma is named after a three year old piece of cheese he found stuck to the back of the fridge.

"Ummagumma Git You Sucka" was the original working title of the 80's blaxploitation parody film but the threat of legal action resulted in the eventual name change ("I'm Gonna Git You Sucka") . . . and the removal of the extensive Pink Floyd catalog that was to be featured in the soundtrack.

According to legend, John Bonham was so strong that he once unintentionally broke a snare drum head while jokingly demonstrating that he could play an entire Zeppelin show using Q-Tips for drumsticks. This was during a December 27, 1968 gig at the Prunella Higgins Reformatory Home for Wayward Tykes, in Puddingbowl-on-Stokes, England.

I remember it well.

Before achieving immortality as a great bluesman, Howlin' Wolf earned a small fortune, and notoriety in the food industry, as the inventor of Pop Tarts.

They were originally Blue Tarts, available only in blueberry flavour, and it was only after being bought out by CBS that they became Pop Tarts, with flavours including raspberry, as immortalised by Prince in 'Raspberry Pop Tart'.
