Let's spread some musical misinformation

According to legend, John Bonham was so strong that he once unintentionally broke a snare drum head while jokingly demonstrating that he could play an entire Zeppelin show using Q-Tips for drumsticks. This was during a December 27, 1968 gig at the Prunella Higgins Reformatory Home for Wayward Tykes, in Puddingbowl-on-Stokes, England.

Phil Collins, in an interview, talked about how amazing Bonham was for sometimes playing with his hands. That was just because he'd broken all the Q-tips and Peter Grant hadn't come back from the nearest corner shop with more by that point.

Weird Al wrote "Beat It" as "Eat It" first, as a pastiche of the general style of Michael Jackson. Quincy Jones heard a rough mix, and talked Al into letting Michael do his version first, because he thought it was even better than the real thing. Al didn't want to do it at first, but Quincy convinced him that Michael Jackson boasting about being tough and gangsta would be even funnier.
