Can truly recomend Op-2 + NuVision for the upright, Im in tone heaven! Sounds totally acoustic but as a much better instrument then I acctually have.

I lucked up and found a NuVision in excellent shape here in the classifieds.
It's a shame they're not being made anymore cause that pedal is a BOSS.

It is a very nice pedal. I actually have 2 NuVision Pedals and a Op-2 (24V) Compressor.

LBA 2020 Audio Transformer
It's a little box of gold and can go virtually anywhere in your chain, doesn't need a power supply (simply 1:1 passive in and out), and should be easy enough to tuck away underneath a pedal board. Mike is super creative, loves bass guitar, and winds the transformers himself.
There are still some available for this initial 100 qty. pre-order aimed to release April 24th. I see these flying if any are still left once the first people get them in hand...you want one now rather than being in some backed up pipeline waiting on more transformers to be wound. Ooh...I forgot that he actually got one in hand. As soon as he breathes a word about it the rest of the initial order will most likely sell out. WATCH THE DEMO VIDEO in my post above that Mike himself did and if your curiosity is piqued you may want to just order now while it's possible to order.
Hey ! My curiosity was piqued a month ago and i already placed an order for two 2020s. But hearing what Mike's get from them, i think i could find use for more on my pedalboard... I'll get 4 then.

I have one of the 2020 boxes, and it does add some special mojo to the sound. It does sound different depending on where you put it in the signal chain, and I prefer it right before the Nuvision pedal.
I use the Nuvision for heavier distortion in my band. It sounds so detailed and good (even at more mild settings). Having tried several dozen OD pedals in the past year, it is one of my favorites!

OK. It adds a little something special to the tone. This harmonic content warms the signal path and makes it richer sounding. Don't expect some sort of overwhelming difference, but once you play with one in your signal path you won't want to remove it. It reminds me of what my RNDI does to the signal path where it seems to sweeten things up.
I've experimented with placement quite a lot over the last couple of days. Before a preamp pedal, after a preamp pedal. Before a compressor, after a compressor. Directly after bass going only into DI box to board. That's where you appreciate the 2020 most. It can make a rather stale signal sound that much more lively and "colorful".
I wish I had two because i was surprised to find that I like the 2020 directly after my bass at the beginning of my chain... but I also like the 2020 directly after my Oracle preamp in front of a DI. I think having one in both places would be golden.
If you use no preamp in your pedalboard chain, I think you would like the 2020. If you use a digital preamp pedal or one that is very neutral/transparent, I think you would benefit from a 2020. For example, I really like the Trickfish Trilobite preamp. It is not a "colored" preamp per se but I think it sounds fantastic for what it is. But adding the 2020 after the Trilobite and just before the DI just pushes that setup over the edge. If you use a tube preamp, well you might find the little 2020 does something special for your tone too. I like it after my Arkham Oracle preamp, just before the DI.

This one seems like a nice add to any compact pedalboard. Larger ones too i guess ! Being able to locate it (them !) underneath is even nicer indeed.
OK, yep. Everything just sounds that much better with this 2020 inline. And I can fit it underneath my Pedaltrain Mini.

The question I have is why have a high quality Preamp-Di and a DI box also on the board? It just seems redundant and waist of money and space on the board. I doubt very seriously if you could tell any difference in the FOH tone.

I didn't say it was. My question is for your signal chain of running a Premp DI into a RNDI also before going into the house. Now I know the Arkham Preamp doesn't have a DI out and could see using a RNDI with it possible but you have done that with others like the Trickfish too I beleive. Just wondering why you feel the need to run multiple DI devices. Do you feel it really makes a audible difference?
@Bassworship1 The RNDI absolutely makes an audible difference. It produces a rounder tone, especially on the high end. Will listeners be able to tell in a performance setting? Who knows. But I have the space and I like what the RNDI does so I have it in place. If you think it is redundant than skip the extra DI.

Yup...That was my exact thought after watching his video...I need two. Sounded like a noticeable difference with them stacked. I'd like one at the beginning and another to move around and experiment with. The fact that they'll fit under the board as well as don't need power....well yeah...I'll be picking up a couple.
