limited useage for replying to classified ads ?

I'm really just as much a regular user as you guys are in most respects.
All of the mod staff are all watching this forum pretty closely as, inevitably, there's lots thast going to be tweaked as the new TB rolls out.

So: express your opinions, for sure, but, please do it nicely and respectfully-which most everybody is, thanks!
Feedback is always a good thing.

I use the classifieds more then anything else on this forum. If this is how its going to be sadly I am going to have to part with TB except the occasional lurker status and go back to craigslist and eBay when I need to move gear. My supporting membership is due in 4 weeks and I guess this will be a deciding factor of if I renew and keep selling and trading here.

There's another thread about this topic going on simultaneously. The mods have replied a bit in it, here.

Yes, voice your opinion in that thread as Paul is participating in it.

Another aspect that will be lost in this change is when for example a bass is for sale, and a respected TB'er comments along the lines of, 'This was my bass previously, it plays like a dream and you will not be disappointed". This isn't something they'd bother PMing to the seller to put into an edit, and buyers are going to be a lot less confident buying gear without this type of dialog.

I have only been a member here for a few weeks and have learned more about gear and more specifically what I like in those few weeks than I have in YEARS. Most of my learning has been gained from reading threads in the Classified sections. I don't mind the new layout b/c I have been here such a short time, that being said, I could not agree more with the posts here...ONE post per ad is insane! Bring back thread bumping! It was not a problem and we all seem to love it!!

It's not just "thread bumping," it's the ability to have an actual thread, vs "just an ad."
The previous format allowed dialog and participation, which was really much nicer, IMO.

If it's the payout and locations of things that are buggin' you in part, you can switch back to the old look/layout.
Hover over "Talkbass 2014" in the blue bar at the bottom left of every page, and select talkbass retro.

Well here is my lastest issue , I wanted to try the new bumping thing by pushing the bump button and it worked, cool. So I go to my next ad , you have to wait 30 seconds inbetween posts on TB so I waited 30 seconds click bump and then I get this "You cannot bump a thread yet, you need to wait 1436 more minute(s)" meaning the one bump per 24 hours isnt applying to each thread I have but only giving me 1 classifieds bump per 24 hours so if you had 3 basses for sale you could only bump one of them every 24 hours? I dont get this. Previously if I had 5 ads up I would bump them all at the same time everyday , well now thats impossible at least for me.
