Line 6 HX Effects

Weird....changing either or both of the internal switches doesn't change that odd midpoint sweep.

Is there a dedicated 'polarity' switch under the PC board or does that dial need to be adjusted?

(I also have an EN VPjr 25K that works great as an expression...just too bulky)

Did you have to change anything in the eb? I’m looking st expression pedals and the mission one is awesome I’m sure but I’m too cheap for that. I’ve also thought about the source audio but reading everyone say they flip wires and stuff seems like a hassle

Hey guys - the HX series has touch-buttons on their footswitches, right? how much "touch" does each require? do you have to mash your fingertip on the whole thing or do you think just touching the center might work? I'm thinking of making a thing... =0)

Pretty sure you can can just touch the switches anywhere that's metallic (which is the whole switch). A light, momentary touch is all it takes. No pressing necessary

Yeah anywhere it's metallic it will pick up your touch. Almost like a touch screen sensitivity. It even picks my foot up when I have a sock on. You can just touch the very top or side with your toe to it and it'll function. It's pretty sensitive but not too much.

Hi,
I love the sounds I get from the Pitch Ring Mod and the Dual Pitch, and the low latency of the attack, but cannot stand the glide sound before it reaches the note I'm playing... Where is the right place to inform to Line6? Here? Ticket support? Ideascale?

Is there anyone that can record some sound samples of a convincing muse tone (uprising, hysteria specifically). I'm considering making the leap but until I hear a better sample of those types of sounds it's a no go for me. The unit would have to cover pretty much everything I do in my cover band..

My old M13 handled Hysteria just fine.

The HX FX covers all my needs for both RHCP and RATM tributes.

I need to dial in Hysteria just to whip it out at soundchecks.

- the parallel path aspect of the HX is friggin' money.

Ok guys, I need some help/direction. When I first got my HX, I just plopped it on and pretty much went to it. I didn’t experiment much with placement. So, how would you guys order this board?

I guess what I’m really asking, because this is mainly how I want to set it up, is where would you place the HX? Right now my chain goes

whammy > tc comp > into the HX
Out of the HX > to the MBD > bloop and so on.

The afterneath is in one of the effects loops. I still want to keep the same order overall but I’m struggling where I want to put the HX mainly. It’s before all my dirt atm. But I think I’d prefer it after my dirt. What do y’all think??

Right now, my chain is:
Future Impact > HX > Cali76 > Messenger, with MBD-1 in an effects loop. I'm thinking about putting the Future Impact in the other loop. That way I can switch between dirt > chorus > synth, or synth > dirt > chorus, or whatever.

I've been playing with parallel paths, and the MBD is only applied to one of the paths. I could do the same with the FI, which could be really nice too. I might settle on a stable ordering, but I like the thought that I can have choices on a per-patch basis.

It really depends on the type of effects you use in the HX. If it's modulations, reverbs and delays, then definitely after dirt. Or you can go wild and put the dirt in the other loop and put the dirt wherever you want within different scenes.

I’m thinking about it too much I think. I’m gonna try to go whammy to comp to the HX in, then run the HX out to my pres to the end. I’ll just have to run my loops in every patch I build. Which could get dicey. But I do mainly use the HX for delay, mod and stuff like that.
