Line 6 HX Effects

Hi,
Selecting different snapshots, is it possible to change the 6 switches assignation? (Remaining the same 9 blocks)
For example, Snapshot 1, switch 1: Transistor Delay bypass. Snapshot 2, switch 1: Transistor Delay Dry/Wet
Thanks

No, not possible sadly.

You can sort of hack it in though, if you've got enough free blocks and DSP:

- Place two identical delay blocks
- On one delay, set footswitch 1 to control dry/wet
- On the other, set footswitch 1 to control bypass
- Set one delay to bypassed on snapshot 1, and the other to be bypassed on snapshot 2

This will give you the effect you want, but it's fiddly and takes a lot of HX resources.

I think you can use Command Center to achieve this. You might have to use midi commands to toggle the effects.
I know some folks do this with assigning different snapshots to foot switches depending on which snapshot they are currently on.

I successfully have 6 MIDI CC (one in each switch) and 6 different MIDI CC each Snapshot.
It send those MIDI messages through USB and din5, but it doesn't bypass internal blocks properly assigned with a MIDI bypass.

Example:
Switch 1 (Snapshot1) CC Toggle (MIDI channel base; CC#4; Dim Value 00; Lit Value 127).
Reverb block: Bypass (None); MIDI In (CC4).

I have tried plugging a MIDI cable from MIDI out to MIDI in :D. MIDI thru Off: frozen Hx; MIDI thru On: eternal on-off-on-off.... of the reverb block.
Any ideas?

Connecting the midi out to midi in is the correct way. You also have to turn off MIDI thru AND turn off "MIDI PC RECEIVE" and/or "MIDI PC SEND" in the Global Settings. One or both of those needs to be off. Turning those off should stop it from repeatedly looping the same message.
Hope it works for you.

Could someone steer me in the right direction for a preset or even a type of patch to edit myself for this sawtooth synth sound? I’ve tried the attack synth, maybe I need to add some dry low end but it doesn’t quite sound the same.

Synth comes in at :15

Comes in at :21

I actually got a usable sound with the attack synth and some blending, and then adding a cab to smooth out the harshness.

I'm new to the Line6 echosystem. Is it possible to load HX Stomp presets into the HX Effects? (Without any cabs or IRs?)

Are the effects the same?

Yes. As long as you don't have an amp or cab block in your preset, you can load Stomp presets on an HX Effects. The effects are 100% identical.

You can also load Helix presets, as long as they only use one effects row (ie. one processor)

I've recently started messing with the Shuffling Looper, which is tons of fun to experiment with. One thing I'd like to do is be able to have a loop fade out, but I haven't found a way to do that. Obviously the loop can be stopped, but that's so abrupt. Does anyone know if there's a way to have it fade out (other than simply slapping a volume pedal after the looper, of course)? Kind of like the feedback control on a delay pedal.

With a Hard Gate after it. Always on, everything at max (except Level). Assign Open Threshold to a switch that activates the fade out effect.

The fade doesn't last too long, but I don't know another way to do that without an expression pedal.
