I would've smirked to myself about the size of his balls. It's not worth my energy to get upset about people like that. After a few years in some pretty hairy customer service situations while working in an Insurance office, I realize that working off "the principle of the thing" usual gets you less than if you sailed through.
I can see where that makes sense.
Not having so much time to wait around and whatnot
The bank closest to my house has two tellers for seniors and 2 for everyone else.
Sometimes there's 45 of us else and 2 old folks...
They will jump lines in public transportation, movie theaters, fast-food restaurants and just about anything you can think of. And it's all enforced by the police.
Curitiba. It's the law...

- Pregnant women
- People with young children
- Disabled
- Obese
- Cops
They'll all jump the lines everywhere. It's their right by law...
I witnessed a full-on fist fight over line jumping at a bakery. Dude #1 called dude #2 on cutting the line. Dude 2 lost it, pounded the stuffing out of 1. It riles me as well.
THE OBESE get preferential treatment?!?!?! That is amazing, especially since the obese tend to cost society more in other ways too.
Maybe it's just to get them out of the store so no one has to look at them any longer than necessary
Actually Japan is like this too, minus the obese part, but mostly for seating on trains, and crowded areas like train stations and public places.
It's about respect, which is sadly lacking today. When someone chooses to line jump they are showing a lack of respect for others. Yes, I spoke up, however, I wasn't going to take it any further than that. I like to believe I treat others with respect, but it doesn't bother me to call jerks out for their actions.
It's your right to ignore it, but in doing so you are giving tacit approval for that disrespect.
So where does one draw the line? Is stating your disapproval but still allowing the behavior to continue any different? I would think that someone cutting in line would know that those already waiting in line will disapprove.
This morning I went to visit my mom, who lives on the other side of town. On my drive over, a Mercedes SUV two cars in front of me proceeded to run not one, but TWO red lights (the only two lights he encountered). Construction held him up to the point that I caught up to him and was right behind him. Close to my mom's house, he pulled into the parking lot of a small business without using his turn signal. I glanced over as I drove by, and sure enough, he was about 134 years old. I was SO tempted to lower my window and yell and string of obscenities at him for his worse-than-reckless driving! I just drove by slowly, shaking my head in a very disapproving way with a scowl on my face.

It's sad laws have to be passed and enforced in order for people to understand that's how things should be. That said, I still don't think that should be law. Seems really silly to me.
I don't really know if it's law or not, but there are signs to that effect reminding people of etiquette.
Let me share my recent ignorant Ahole story.
I work for a banquet hall. We run parties, anything from weddings to birthdays. This past Friday night, we had a kids birthday party. Easy enough. Bunch of kids and a few adults, easy enough.
There were more adults at this party than kids, all of the adults were dressed like they were going to the club looking for some action. The kids there trash all over the entire hall and surrounding rooms. But it's to be expected, they are kids. The adults ruined 3 chairs, hung things from our sound system wires, put out their cigarettes on our pumpkins, SMOKED POT AND SEALED DRUGS ON OUR FRONT STEP, talked down to my bosses wife, used a staple gun to put their table skirts on, and joked that immigration wasn't going to get them. Im not saying the race of these people but you can figure it out. They spilled drinks everywhere also.
How's that for ignorant, inconsiderate, Aholes?

Used to be the U.S. was like that as well, but minus the law. I'm old now (62); but when I was a kid, it was common courtesy for men and boys to give up our seat on a bus, etc., for the elderly, handicapped, women, etc. It was just done as a matter of course because that's how we were taught as kids.
