There are only two that I'd consider "unsellable":
A 1971 Fender Precision that was played by Jaco Pastorius; when I had a lesson with him, I brought it with me and he played it briefly to assess it. He advised me to add a Jazz Bass bridge pickup (which I did as soon as I got home).
A 1981 G&L L2000E which was "born" on the exact 10th anniversary of my father's death (sounds morbid, but it's just that the date has meaning); also, I like to think that Leo Fender personally sneezed on it, or something.![]()

I have played many basses, but my all time favorite is my Roscoe SKB 3005. It has the tones and action that I have been looking for.

My Roscoe (the one in my avatar) is the only bass my wife has expressly forbidden me from selling, I think they will have to pry it from my cold dead hands![]()
