I have an allen and heath zed mixer. Four xlrs, mutes. Signal routing is crazy flexible and it sounds good. I use it for an in ear monitor mixer amd home recording.

Hard to find one with all XLR'sPlus some basic EQ function would be nice.
Wouldn't mind the pay raise. But I only backed off it because I ended up liking my DI fuzz tracks the day after I did test recordings. I totally could have made it work. My thought is if I send an awesomely usable signal, it doesn't matter how I arrived at it.Glad to see that you backed off the mixer idea. To me the fallacy was knowing which would actually sound good in the house with the room full, or filling or empty. I mean even with a great wireless, you simply have to be on stage most of the time or you become crew. You sure don't want that ;-)
Yeah but I still dig the mic sound.Guys slag DI all the time ... Truth is that if it's a good sounding bass, a guy behind the board, with a decent set of ears can make it work.
Oh man, I go so back and forth between what fuzzes I like, it's not even funny! Had 4 at one time...a Team Awesome Fuzz Machine, an MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe, a Human Gear Animato clone made by JohnK, and believe it or not, the VT Deluxe...cranking the drive results in a really cool fuzztone. The BFD is cool but a little on the subtle side in a mix, and the Animato is such an insanely weird sounding and totally dominating pedal that I can never decide if I love it or hate it. The TAFM I no longer have because while I really dig its sound, it was way overkill for me with features I don't need or want. Ended up giving it to my Estonian friend Silver Lepaste, who plays in and produces one of the top rock bands in Eastern Europe, Winny Puhh (he's the one playing banjo in this vid):Oh yeah and when I'm the FOH guy, having more choices is better. Agreed all points. I'm probably just slow but what fuzz did you add in your setup ?
