There's no 'better' about it. These are merely suggestions for you to go and try. All of them are 'The Best' to someone.

Peavey Cirrus 5 might work for you. I have a 6 and IMO it meets your criteria. I also see there's one that looks nice in the TB classifieds.

The Cirrus 5 meets all the needs except coil tapping. Maybe there is a mod for that??? I used mine in a variety cover band and found all the tones I needed. It is also 18V active, so that may sway you if you're into passives.

This is outside your requirements but for versatility, slim neck, fantastic low B with great balanced tension across all the strings you could check out a Dingwall Combustion.

My fretted Warwick LX-5 had a great low B, my fretless LX-5 has a great B as well. They were better than my Spector Euro 5, but with one Spector and 2 Warwicks in the sample I won't claim they're all like that.

Will you choose euro 5 or upgraded rebop 5(replace with EMG-TW and Aguilar obp-3)?

The B is really solid on both. I wouldn't even look at upgrading the electronics until you've played it. It's very versatile stock.

I cannot stress enough that you ought to very strongly consider Carvin's LB and BB Series Basses. It fits EVERYTHING you're looking for in a bass, and then some.

All of this says Spector Euro5LX with Wimbish neck profile & EMG TW pickups. Should be able to find one used in that price range.

If I am not mistaken the Doug Wimbish signature Spector is a 4-string only. The Alex Webster signature has a thin neck profile in a 5-string. Anybody correct me if I'm wrong.

The standard Spector Euro neck profile could not be described as thin. The B string is very powerful, though.

The Wimbish and Hill are 4 strings only.
The Webster sig has a thinner profile neck for a 5 string. And you can get it without the blood graphic. It doesn't have coil taps though. Only the TW pickups from EMG do that come on Spector like the blue one in the Classifieds. Puts to shame any other B string mentioned so far and by a good bit.
