Looking for a new, "high end" bass

New, neck-thru, with humbuckers...

I literally can't think of a single high quality bass under $1500 new with these features. This means no Warwick, Spector, Rickenbacker, Musicman, Dingwall, G&L, Gibson Thunderbird....

You could any of those used for under or around $1500, but not new. Maybe check out LTD, or Ibanez BTB line.
What used Warwick NT $$ is under $1500 in good condition?

Hello!

I want to buy a new bass to replace my cheap yamaha bass, but I have no idea which bass to get. I will be playing a lot of metal, but much more than that too. I want a black, neck through bass with a humbucker (or two), but Im open to other things too. My budget is around $1500, but I obviously dont have to spend it all.

Please recommend me some good basses :)
I really like and highly recommend Dingwall but they are over budget, not neck through and the pickups are reverse p Pickups in a shell not Humbuckers but they do have more high end bite than traditional p pickups. To me it’s more of a musicman on steroids type of sound.

If you want to save a little money and don’t mind something pretty crazy looking the ESP Ltd f-405fm is less than a grand and fits what you’re looking for. It is neck through, comes in black, with EMG 40dc Humbuckers

"I literally can't think of a single high quality bass under $1500 NEWWWWWWWWWWWW with these features."

And then the conversation evolved that OP was willing to buy used. Are we good now?
[NT + 2 Humbucker + less than $1500 + high end] = few

I really just meant that the cheapest Warwick I know of with those features is the Corvette $$ NT. I think new they are around $3500, but I know used you can often find them around $2000.

I know you could get a bolt on Corvette $$ in the price range. Maybe even new if you find the right sale.

Also from your list: Rickenbacker and Thunderbirds are single coil. Musicman makes a NT HH Stingray that might be found used. G&L L2000 or L2500 would be Bolt on. Not sure of Spector or Dingwall, most basses I see are soap bars or single coil.

I was just thinking that to check all the boxes even used would be few choices without going medium end, over $1500, non humbucker, or Bolt on. If the OP drops even one want, the options abound suddenly. Especially, if he raises his budget or gives up on NT/$$ combination.
