Looking to put together a p-bass, but was wondering if there were any builders out there, like k-line, that could build me a body and do a finish. Can you guys give me some names of builders that could build a body for me? Just looking for alternatives to Warmoth, Mighty Mite, etc. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with Warmoth or USA Custom, but was just wondering what options were available. Thanks, I will also be checking these out as well.
Are you looking for a more authentic option, say for example, something completely hand-carved from scratch?
Mike Dolan in California used to do that sort of work, and word had it he was damn good at it.
Unfortunately, the last time I contacted him, he said he was semi-retiring and that he wouldn't have time to work with everybody.

There are several folks who can do that type of thing. I do, but I only offer nitro finishes. MJT Guitars does the same.
If you want poly, I would just go with USACG. They are a bit faster than Warmoth.
Of course if you want the body loaded and ready to rock, that eliminates the finish-only shops.

Here's an example of what he did with his Musicman when he wanted a lighter body. He's been repairing and building Fender basses longer than I've been alive (I'm 31...I think). He knows as much about Fender instruments as anyone else out there, can do everything from selecting the piece of wood to fit your weight to finishing it for you and can make it identical to vintage specs. He's the man.

I'd definitely like to hear more about his work. Always used to get a really strong "Leo Fender" vibe from the man's posts here.

I wouldn't commission a builder for a pbass body. There are hundreds of them on ebay and other auction sites, for cheap and with any option you could think of.
USACG are the best out there IMO. Whatever you do stay away from Bernie Hefner. He's an arrogant A-Hole and his finishes are pretty crappy. I've used all of these guys.
