Looking good TB.

Go through every section of my account and uncheck every box...got it. No, posting about it is much faster.

Also, apparently I reply when I want to reply, but also hit "reply" to quote someone.....that makes a lot of sense. :eyebrow:

You can just type in the box at the bottom of the thread if you just want to post in it, but click reply on a post to quote it. "Reply" has replaced "quote".

Those of you who like it must use the classifieds much, what a mess. Say you have 3 things for sale, a bass, a bass neck in the accessories forum and a amp. You can only bump 1 of these items every 24 hours, instead of bumping all of them, I dont know if its suppose to be like that or if its just messed up. The classifieds are moving super slow its crazy I have never seen adds posted so little, I bumped something hours ago and its still mid page on the first page. You also cant reply to each other in the hot deals section. So many times someone posted a deal and then someone else found a coupon for $100 off that well guess what? they cant reply to that thread anymore.

Also this site gets a lot of revenue from people who pay just for the privilege to use the classifieds, sorry but I wouldn't be a supporting member if the classifieds suck and well they now do. Many people are in the same boat, I have told many people to pay the $20 for membership as its worth it just to sell stuff on here but I cant say that anymore. Unless the classifieds are fixed I am not renewing and selling on eBay like thee olden days.

Also why a question mark for my avatar, I dont want one yet I have to now have a question mark forever?

Whats with the new membership fee's? no more $20 a year, its $60 if you want to pay for a year or $2 a month instead so a standard supporting membership which is what I would renew to but there isnt a flat rate for a year? instead every month I have to pay $2? or pay $60 for a year.

Wow awesome ( sarcasm)

Oh really? That's why I couldn't bump my other thread? I'm selling a bass body in accessories and a bass in the bass classifieds. So the 24 hour rule now means I can only bump one of them every 24 hours?

I think if a paying member is selling 2 or 12 things in the classifieds, they should each be bumpable once every 24 hours. If not, that's a bit ridiculous. That's gotta be a glitch.

And a supporting membership is now either $24 or $60 a year? Can't be. What gives?

 I was kinda waiting to decide if I wanted to renew my membership. If this is the new pricing, that's going to factor very heavily into my decision. $60 a year is a sharp increase and not reasonable, imo. If the only other option is to be billed monthly, I find that very inconvenient.

I sell enough stuff that I can justify the $60 a year so when it comes to renewal thats likely what I would do, that is if I was staying on selling here but I seriously cant fathom the reason why. Look at the classifieds, there is so little activity there. I sell a lot to members that dont post here much at all, people who have been here years and years yet pay a subscription and they buy a lot from me. Well do you think these people are going to stick around when they get on every 3 or so days and see the mess the classifieds are? nope most will probably say oh well, no subrscripe anymore to TB etc.

I also feel for the people that sell very little or cant afford the $60 a year, who wants to pay every single month? I get that $20 a month may have been low for the services I sold one thing on eBay and got that as a fee this week but I rather it just be $25 or some flat rate then monthly , heck leave the monthly rate if they want but have a flat rate fee because now the only option is gold supporting member and the other options are all monthly.

3234718-Yes thats why you cant bump you're other thread. I dont think this is a permanent change I think thats just a mess up, but I hope its fixed soon. I have to many basses and need to move some and well if TB's classifieds are going south I am going to need to transition to eBay and have a interpersonal selling ordeal and take it on fee's. I would say for the last 6 months I have had 6-10 items constantly in the classifieds at all times so if I can only bump one ad a day what is the purpose of this? I can see the writing on the wall, if you want to bump more then 1 ad a day "services apply".

For those that use the classifieds a lot, or those for whom that is the reason they pay a membership here....I can see a lot of them saying "screw this".

Let's see.....

$2 per month x 12 months = $24

$60 per year x 1 year = $60

What????????

Been here (unofficially) for 10 years. This is certainly quite the difference but I am sure I will adapt.

Changing to retro mode helped a lot. Now I just need to get used to looking at different spots for different things. It used to be so automated for me before, just working on pure muscle memory for a lot of browsing.

Change is inevitable though, and over the years TB has always grown, so hopefully it will all come together in time.

P.S. Paul, are you going to remove the "Messages" tally that is kept on the left-hand panel. I remember back in the day when we removed post counts being visible in that manner because of all the people making threads about it and making it into a contest.

P.P.S. Can someone like my post? The forum is giving me grief in updating my profile information because I have not met the requisite amount of "likes."
